Our Wedding Road Trip | Estes Park, Colorado Wedding Photographer Videographer

Wedding Week-July 2018-15.jpg

Last June, we hit the road with a few of our friends to head to Estes Park, Colorado for our wedding week. It was seriously the best time having our family and friends in Colorado with us as we celebrated our love. The week was filled with trips to Rocky Mountain National Park, lots of cookouts/grilling and tons of quality time.

These photos are mainly from hanging around Estes Park Condos where we got married, as well as our rehearsal dinner, the day after our wedding, and our mini-moon to Steamboat Springs followed by a quick stop at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

While we were there, we also photographed our friends proposal, which you can view here. Then we got married, which you can view here! Then we photographed and filmed an Italian themed wedding in Denver before heading back home.

Colorado Road Trip | Rocky Mountains, Denver, Colorado

In July, Devin and I flew out to Denver to start planning our wedding. We had lined up wedding venue tours in Estes Park, Telluride and Silverton. During our stay, I ended up getting really sick and even ended up in the ER twice. We ended up missing a few tours because of this, but I did my best to power through, determined to get our wedding plans underway! ;)

After we shot an elopement in Vail, we drove up to Estes Park where we saw two of the venues. The first venue tour we did was at Della Terra Mountain Chateau. It was breathtaking with incredible spaces and unbelievable rooms, but it didn't offer the privacy and intimacy we wanted with having such a large staff on board and tours the same day as your wedding.

Next, we checked out Estes Park Condos along the Fall River. The condos are laid out on a beautiful piece of land just a very short distance to Rocky Mountain National Park. They offered even more than we dreamed of having and after quite a bit of deliberation, we ended up choosing to have our wedding there!

After Estes Park, we drove through Denver to stop at A&Be Bridal to pick up supplies for a styled elopement that we shot overlooking Breckenridge. We stayed in Silverthorne / Dillon for a few days and then headed down to Telluride.  Telluride is one of our favorite areas in Colorado. The small town vibes and insane views of mountains and waterfalls just doesn't get old.

After a relaxing time in Telluride we took the long way down to Devin's family in Durango through Ouray and Silverton to look at one more venue. The venue, Eureka Lodge, blew our minds! Nestled 8 miles down a dirt road in the San Juan mountains is this historic old miners hotel. The property literally couldn't be beat as far as what we were looking for. The house has 14 rooms for overnight stays, which unfortunately didn't fit the style and comfort of what we were looking for. It was tough to decide on a venue, but we knew the Estes Park Condos was the perfect happy medium between all three venues.

Enjoy all of these beautiful images captured along the way!
